Just One More
I have to credit my buddy Conrad with finding this board for me. He literally pulled it out of someone’s garbage can on the way to my house one morning. He’s from Jamaica so when he rolled up with a big smile and said (you’ll have to imagine the accent) “Yo man. I brought you a gift. Here’s your next rehab project…make it a beauty my friend.” I believe I was able to do just that. My bride adore’s sea turtles so I attempted to stretch the boundaries of the space to create the effect of the turtle swimming out of the board itself which I then expanded that idea to include the surfing dolphin…and then the surfer himself who’s catching “Just One More” wave at the risk of leaving his bride waiting just a bit longer for his return. Love how this one turned out!! Only problem is, she turned out so good that my bride doesn’t want to part with the turtle…I suppose I’ll just have to make her another one so you can make this part of your collection. I poured a total of just over 170 hours into this creation, but I truly enjoyed every one of them!
